My name is Mauro Roncoroni. I am an Italian fine art photographer based in Switzerland. My work begins with moments that are easy to overlook: a road disappearing into fog, a solitary structure in the landscape, a trace of human presence, or a brief shift of light that changes the meaning of a place.

I am drawn to quiet, transitional spaces—places that seem suspended between what has just happened and what is about to begin. Through photography, I try not simply to document what I see, but to preserve the atmosphere of that moment: its silence, uncertainty, distance, and sense of possibility.

For me, taking a photograph is a way of slowing time down. It allows me to remain present for a little longer and to explore how something apparently ordinary can contain a feeling of vastness, solitude, or infinity.

My images are created to live beyond the moment in which they were taken. I like the idea of them entering a home and gradually becoming part of its atmosphere—not as decoration alone, but as a quiet presence. A place for the eye to rest. A pause from the noise. A reminder that, sometimes, the most meaningful things reveal themselves only when we slow down enough to notice them.
